Private Pilot License
In order to gain the PPL(H) as it is usually known, you must complete at least 45 hours of flight instruction with an instructor and pass the required ground examinations and a flight test as detailed below.
At the beginning of the course you will be given some ground briefing on the course syllabus and about the helicopter itself. Before you know it you will be in the air and at the controls! From there you will be amazed at how quickly you will be flying without assistance from the instructor, because the only way to learn is to get on the controls and try, always with the re-assurance of knowing your instructor is alongside to guide you.
In order to gain a PPL(H) there are certain minimum requirements, set out below, which you must achieve as well as enjoying yourself in the air. Pass the flight test and you become a fully fledged helicopter pilot.
